Organizing your Christmas Treasures

For those of you who love the Christmas season but don't know where to begin when it is all over, these tips are for you. I know it is a bit early but, I want to give everyone time to get what they need, if they find any inspiring ideas.

The first idea that I found and thought was clever, especially for homemade ornaments without a box, is this red solo cup idea. It appears that this organizer glued cups to a piece of wood. If your ornaments are light enough, you could use foam board from the dollar store to cut costs and the need for tools.

Use plastic cups to neatly store your ornaments.

For Christmas balls, especially the ones that come in flimsy boxes, try egg cartons. They will keep the decorations safe and are easy to hold while putting ornaments on the tree.

Use egg cartons to store your smaller ornaments.

To stop those pesky lights from getting tangled, wrap them around a clothes hanger. I found out about this idea a couple of years ago and was astounded by how well it worked as a well as the fact that I had never heard of it until that point. You can use whatever kind of hanger you would like but I prefer wire or plastic.

Wrap Christmas lights around a hanger to keep them from getting tangled.

Christmas time also means wrapping paper but where do you keep it when Christmas is over. I found several clever storage ideas! Hopefully one inspires you.
